Diabetes & Cancer Awareness Week

In Sri Lanka one in twelve adults suffers from diabetes, which totals to 1.16 million. Also, it is found that though the paediatric cancer cases are rare compared to adults, the numbers are growing. Awareness is the most important thing to prevent next generation form diabetes and cancers. Therefore, We thought of doing an awareness program related to diabetes and paediatric cancers for younger generation.
First phase of the program is making awareness videos for each with the help of National Diabetes Center. Awareness video for paediatric cancers is planned to do with the help of Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama. To reach the young generation, We hope to share those videos in social medias.
Second phase of the program is to do a poster campaign and distribute leaflets among people in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces.
Third phase is to conducting awareness week for school children in each Leo district.
